Tradesmen’s Wedges

Designer: Colin Wilson

Materials: Brass, Phosphor Bronze and Gunmetal

The series consists of a Plain Wedge, Adjustable Wedge and Pivot Wedge.

The wedge is one of the six simple machines. A simple machine is a mechanical device that changes the direction and magnitude of a force and has been used for millennia.

This series of wedges are wrought from Brass, Phosphor Bronze and Gunmetal. They represent a genre of tool that for the most part are overlooked and often discarded in manufacture after they have served their purpose. Making wedges in a durable material gives these important machines value and presence that befits their use.

The series is in 3 sizes: small, medium and large. They are part of a limited edition of 52 and come with a certificate of authenticity.
